Christmas 2010 - New Year 2011
Hi guys -
It was a cold winter this year - but we loved it. heres a visual update.
We Loved the snow!!! the girls had a great time, so did I !!!
Then we headed of to Norway!! with our good friends the Purdies.... - 25 one day!!!!

Then it went a bit wrong! numpty here fell and dislocated my wrist!!! good one JD! So it wasnt the best start to 2011 having a short trip to hospital an operation that involved some pins and a stapler!! sorry of your squeemish. So 5 weeks in a cast. All good now, but I do have some limited movement in the wrist. I have to be honest it was one of the most frustating times, not being able to get around, drive and having to learn how to use my left hand...all good fun. Poor Tor! I think I drove her up the wall.
2011 did kick of a bit strangely - a busted arm and then we learnt our friend Kev had died. Life can be cut short, our descisions count for so much and it was tragic to see another life ending before it should. Lord I dont understand sometimes but I know you are full of mercy and grace.
In Late Jan we saw another batch of Street Pastors commissioned and readied to go out into the streets. It never seizes to amaze me just how amazing these folks are, inspite of nerves, ready to sacrifice a nights sleep to meet needs, calm people down and have the oportunity to share Gods love in action and word. Heres a few pics of the commissioning at liquid!
SP COMMISSIONING!

One of things that I love about the SP work - is the people that its brought us all into contact with, weve made some great connections and friends. Thanks to all that were involved, a great
night.
In Feb we secured the funds for our safe "Space Project" a mobile base which our SP teams will utalise during the evening that they are out. Its going to look great and increase our effectiveness! role on Spring - thats when the project will go live. I will chuck up some images at a later date to give you all a flavour of where its at, but its very exciting!
Sadly in Feb we lost Nan, Dads mum. She had been moved to a home in the autumn of 2010. Nan was struggling to get around and needed some additional help. She was a strong character and we will miss her.
For me I will always see Nan as master and commander of her front room, directing things from her comfy chair, eating her marks and spencers food.....as gran kids we knew she loved us and would do anything for us.
My older sister Lizzie puts it best. "Nan was one of the most generous people I knew She had a great sense of humour - she loved telling a good story and her laugh was infectious.Nan had a big personality, generosity beyond measure and and a fighting spirit I will always admire."
