JET SETTER Not

Hi guys,

How did it all go in Sept you might be asking? It was a busy but really enjoyable month - I was in 4 cities in 5 days during one the weeks....Jet setting  Ducey. For some people its just a normal way of life..

It was great to head down to London and catch up with 20 other Street Pastor Coordinators from all over the UK, sharing stories and experiences and getting some additional training. All good stuff! and then up to Glasgow to be speak at the Launch of the initiative at the Strath Clyde Police station in the heart of the city. Over 100 guests and dignitaries were in attendance....It was a joy and an honour to be apart of the proceedings and looking forward to them officially being on the streets in the new year ?Go Glasgow?.I hope you get the 100 volunteers you are looking for!

Other SP news?Well for our guys in Aberdeen we crossed the year mark and we?ve been busy recruiting new volunteers and it looks like we have another 23 to add. We start training this weekend for the next 4 weeks?.

Mid September I was back in London for a week with the Emerging Evangelist Institute. It?s always a challenge and an encouragement to meet others that have a similar heart and want to see people come to Jesus across our nation. I always find that God uses these weeks to stir my own heart and challenge me just where my own relationship with Jesus is at, and use it as a little spiritual health check. Always useful!!

Over the last few months I?ve been living in Luke 5.Reading and reflecting on how Jesus calls those first few people to follow him. How he almost hijacks one group and blows them away with a miraculous catch and with Matthew this tax collector that most would avoid ? Jesus does the opposite with. Time and time I see a Jesus that operates on a different level and in a different zone. He knows where people are really at and knows what they need. Jesus is truly radical. I feel a fresh challenge about being a follower?not just in lip service but in lifestyle and sacrifice. I am fast beginning to realise these are what separates the followers from the talkers.

A friend said ? Gods never closer than when he comes to prune? I agree?its not always the easiest is it! When faced with your own weakness and even sinfulness. I guess that?s what its about learning to cling to him just a little more each time.

This month I?ve just started to look at the Story of Joseph?.wonder where I will end up?

So that leaves Oct and November. I will post some dates for diary.
